This November, I’m bringing the Longevity Map to Warsaw.

For a year my son Aleksander and I sat with the people working on how long and how well we live: 39 countries and states, more than a hundred scientists, doctors and experts.

Back in August 2023, at the start of our quest, I went looking for longevity medicine in Poland. I found a single clinic: the Longevity Center in Warsaw, founded by Joanna Bensz, which had only just opened.

This November, Warsaw gets a whole week of longevity. The Warsaw Longevity Forum meets on 24 and 25 November, and Andrea Maier is one of its keynote speakers. Then the ELEVATE Health & Longevity Summit, the biggest longevity event in Poland, takes over PGE Narodowy, the National Stadium, on 28 and 29 November.

At ELEVATE I share the stage with two friends from our quest: Olivia Lesslar, the mind, heart and body doctor who is about to become Live Beyond’s medical director, and Raiany Romanni-Klein, who thinks hard about what longer lives will mean for our values and for the economy.

My talk picks up where Berlin left off: the Longevity Map, what anyone can start doing now, what is coming next, and how the whole field can grow faster if more of us support it. And joy, always. Lifespan and healthspan are not enough without joyspan.

Why does a week in Warsaw matter so much to me? Because longevity is leaving Silicon Valley. Singapore has already brought longevity medicine into a public hospital, and other countries are following. I would love Poland to be next, with longevity medicine for everybody, and not only for the few who can pay for it. Andrea put it best, back in Dublin in 2023:

“I am really advocating, not fighting, but advocating for a framework that it can be implemented in the end into normal hospital systems or into the healthcare systems, because I think that’s what we need to democratize health in the end.”

Longevity should not be a privilege. It should be part of how every country cares for its people.

Coming to ELEVATE on 28 or 29 November? Find me and say hello. The program is at elevatesummit.pl.

The whole story, with everyone who is coming to Warsaw and how Joanna Bensz now brings longevity clinics from all over the world to one table, is on the Live Beyond Hub:
